A Vision For Your Future

It is said “Without at vision people perish”. This is true of our financial life just as much as other facets. I’ve found in my personal experience that besides investing and wealth building activities it is critical to:

  1. Surround yourself with people who inspire you
  2. Have a Vision for your Future.
  3. Have a Mindset of Abundance

I talked about surrounding yourself with like-minded people who inspire you in an earlier post. I would like to talk about having a vision for your future both in terms of finances, your life and your relationships. We will not find true fulfillment just meeting our financials goals without our deepest relationships flourishing, and finding a sense of community and connection in our lives.

I encourage you to think about this –

What would you be doing if you didn’t have to work for money? What does your financial free future look like? Where would you be living? What would be doing with your time? Close your eyes and imagine it in as much detail as you can manage to picture right now. Maybe that looks like you sipping a margarita in Puerto Vallarta on a beach with your significant other by your side. What does it feel like? What are you doing?

Dream outlandishly. Dream without boundaries. Dream really BIG!

Dream Big!

Most importantly not only imagine these thoughts, share it with a friend or someone close to you. The stronger you can make this vision in the real world, and speak about it as if it were already happening, the more you can live in it the closer it becomes. The law of attraction is extremely powerful when it comes to wealth building and literally everything we want in our lives.

If you haven’t already watched the movie/documentary called “The Secret” I highly recommend it. It’s available on Netflix and I’m sure other sources as well. It’s powerful and it speaks to how the law of attraction works.

I also highly recommend building a “Vision Board”. Look out for homes that you’d like to live in, cars you’d like to drive, ideal of a relationship you want, images and words that touch you or resonate with you deeply and incorporate them in your vision board. Seeing this regularly can definitely ignite a passion and purpose in bringing it to fruition. Here are some resources and ideas to build a vision board.

Our subconscious is powerful in bringing our dreams to life. Feed it negativity and thoughts of “not having” or scarcity and it will create exactly that. Feed it the right things and thoughts of abundance and it becomes a powerful tool for you to live out your dreams.
